THE Crail Golfing Society men's Club Championship strokeplay was concluded recently with Ryan Doherty narrowly beating Dr Andrew Kyle on the 1st extra hole. Andrew had produced a 66 in terrible conditions to force a play off, so well done to both players for producing such a thrilling finish.

The ladies Dow Salver open competition was held on Saturday, June 12, with the winner being Ruth McLennan, whose score was 85 - 20 = 65.

The Lady Captain, Molly Hall thanked the green staff for the excellent condition of the course, the clubhouse staff who provided excellent meals and service throughout the day, despite a power cut that managed to crash the till system.

She also thanked the many helpers on the desk, starter, Bill Hunter, and Carolyn MacPherson, who was responsible for all the administration. The ladies also held a raffle in aid of Sense Scotland, which raised £300.
